Etro With White and Yellow, and Secret Trekkie

Only one blazer left that I have not yet worn this year...this Etro one is nearly always at the end of my season, and sometimes I struggle to find something to go with it.
I tend to be focused on the tie material on the lapels/inside the front, which is yellow and red with bits of black. Hence, yellow and bits of red (cuff, lips).

  • Jacket - Etro, consignment; last seen here in June 2016 with Shoes My Husband Hates
  • Blouse - Violet & Claire, thrifted; last worn here in January with a hug from Canada
  • Skirt - BB Dakota, consignment; last seen here in January with blue and tweed shoes
  • Shoes - Miista; last worn here (3rd outfit) in January for a stroll to town for brunch
  • Coat (below) - Danier Leather

See my little secret addition on the lapel?
I wore this top untucked to show the criss-cross front of it. The top of this wooly skirt is loose, so tucking things in doesn't work so well.
I love the deep marigold yellow of this skirt. It's a nice nubby texture too. These things don't really translate in photos.

Outerwear:
I was warm in my fur toque/scarf and my leather gloves (all Danier). but it rained all day. I missed all but a sprinkle on my walks to and from work, though. Lucky me!

The stuff:
Solid bronze shoes! (Not really, they are leather).

Odd bling:
There's my secret: I wore my Star Trek communicator badge on my lapel. Hee! Let your geek flags fly!

  • Red leather cuff - vintage fair for $2.00 (first wear)
  • Black leather wrist-wrap - Kipling, thrifted
  • Earrings (lost the matching ones): local
  • Magnet Star Trek badge - MoPop gift shop

I forgot to show you my nail polish this week.
It's "Killer Queen" by Rimmel "Play Fast". Another easy 60-second polish (I have a base coat on as well). This one has a deep reddy/berry colour. It's a little Goth-y, which I like.

  2. Nice! I love those shoes. The nail polish is nice too. I have been into darker shades right now, for some reason.

    1. Hee hee, you know I love sneaky things. I have one more blazer that hasn't been worn yet - it's a vintage one, so a bit trickier.

  4. The trim on the blazer is really cool and perfect to be matching your outfit to. I love the skirt and wish the texture showed, but hey, I'll take your word for it baby!

    1. I love it - I wasn't sure about wearing the top untucked, so thank you. No, actually I don't think I had any compliments. Must have been too much for my work crowd.
