To Boldly Go...to the Dentist and for Dinner

I can't feel my chin and my tongue feels like a big fish in my mouth; I'm also woozy from the happy pill still. Have I mentioned how much I dislike going to the dentist (actually, I went to the periodontist - it's for more complicated stuff than dentists, but I hate explaining it)? I would hate losing my teeth more though.
My post-dentist activity tonight is our annual WW dinner and drinks (yes, we eat real food and drink lots of wine!) in about an hour. I might be able to slip a nap in there...

  • Dress - Adrian, vintage 60s, thrifted; last worn here (2nd outfit) last December
  • Shoes - Miista; last seen here in November with a purple mint sandwich
  • Coat (below) - Hilary Radley, thrifted

Edited to add - I completely zoned out on "Visible Monday" over at Patti's Not Dead Yet Style. Get yourself over there!
I was okay to let the bottom half of my tattoos hang out, although a longer-sleeved ANYTHING would have been warmer. Brrrr! It was freakin' freezing today! And the word on the street is that there is more snow coming tomorrow night.

I'm a big fan of this lovely vintage dress. I love the stand-up neckline and the zigzag pattern (it's raised, 3-D!) and the slightly longer length of it.
It felt very Space-Age to me, so I had to wear my new Starfleet pin!
Also, check it out, yo! I just got Anne M. Bray's "Fashion Rainbow" book in the mail! So cool! I'm emerald, and I enjoyed flipping through it going, "I know her, and I've met her, and her, and she is wonderful!" What a lovely thing this is. You should buy one.

See, there's me.
My Christmas party and New Year's eve outfit!

Outerwear:
All the warm things: long wool and cashmere vintage gloves (thrifted), and my Danier fur toque and scarf set. This is the warmest coat I have.

The stuff:
Because I only worked a half day, I wore comfy flat shoes. Also very Space-Age.

Space bling!
Those aren't moons! They're pearl earrings!

  • Earrings - Aldo Accessories
  • Starfleet pin - MoPop Gift Shop

Ah, I just have time for a short nap, and then maybe the freezing will have worn off. I hope the restaurant has soup.

  2. Too bad the freezing outside won't wear off too. Man, it's cold!! Love that vintage dress - I do love a space-age collar. I ordered the notebook but wish now I got the book book. Maybe later. Keep warm. You LOOK warm in that snuggle wear. Glad they loop you out at the periodontist too.

  6. Such a cute vintage dress Sheila. And heck some days flats are all we need aren't they? That coat reminds me of one which resides somewhere in the loft - I keep nagging hubbie to get up there and find it. One day I'll show you...
