Casual Friday: Fabulously Fringed

Today was exhausting. Our office building is having a controlled power outage, so guess who got to lug 16 cartons of milk home for the weekend?
Correct, that would be me. And this is why I do push-ups.

  • Top - Ina, consigment; last worn here (2nd outfit) in May with Danger Pants
  • Skirt - Valentino, vintage 80s, thrifted; purchased here in June as part of a suit for $12.00 total
  • Shoes - Faith Hi Lo Reumah, Fluevog; last seen here a year ago in July 2015 with salmon and magenta

It was warm enough today to wear this fringey top on its own (I do have a camisole under it to hide my bra on the sides). It has great movement. Very swooshy and fringey!

And this is my first wearing of the skirt portion of my vintage thrifted Valentino suit.
It's got pocketses, precious. Indeed, it does.

While I'm not a huge fan of this taupe shade, the skirt feels amazing to wear (it is a very finely woven wool).
And it's a good neutral to ground all this colour.

The stuff:
I haven't worn these shoes in over a year! I'm surprised, but then I do have a lot of shoes - some pairs just get more love than others. These are actually wood soles, so they aren't the most comfy shoes, especially after shlepping all that milk and cream home.

Pink and silver bling:
I often wear this scarf with these shoes - it's a very versatile scarf.

  • Scarf - Ralph Lauren, consignment
  • Cuff - St. Paul's Cathedral gift shop
  • Bangle - local
  • Earrings - Plum

I'm off now for the weekend, to do my weekendy things. We're headed out to the pub tonight, then Ulti tomorrow, but it's otherwise pretty quiet in my world right now. How about you? Any plans?

  1. Love the neutral skirt with the colourful top and printed shoes - that is just such a cool top. You're incredible for carrying all that milk home - and you'll have to take it back Monday, wow! You're definitely stronger than I :) Enjoy your relaxing weekend ahead.

  6. No push ups for me Sheila, no time for 'em. The fringe top is indeed fab and works well with that new skirt. Wishing you a good week x

  7. It works perfect.
I did not realise this was the vintage Valentino skirt until I read it- I think you did a great job.

  8. I confess I'm not fond of the colour of that skirt, but it does work well with the hot pink of the top (which I love - it goes beautifully with your hair).

Good old push-ups! We hate them, but they work.
