Ahoy! Pink, Stripes and Gold

I felt very visible today. This is a lot of pink!
A very vivid pink.

  • Jacket - Vero Moda in Blue, thrifted; purchased here in April for $7.99
  • Dress - Kenzo, thrifted; purchased here in March with Jodi for $12.99
  • Shoes - Camper; last seen here (2nd outfit) in November 2015 with a hair-matching blouse

Not to mention a very striped jacket and some very bold gold accessories.

I twirled about in this dress - it is about a Swoosh Factor 7 (twirls when I make it, not too shifty, doesn't get in the way).
And isn't the jacket a nice fit? I am quite enamoured of it.

As the dress is a very sheer cotton, it's nearly see-through - bust out a slip!
I went with a peachy-coral full slip (covering my boobular region as well) for a nice smooth fit and basically to be a lining for this unlined dress.

I had to laugh - I didn't notice when I bought the jacket...
...but every single one of the buttons is sewn on upside down! Ha! I am too lazy to re-sew them all.

The stuff:
I love these shoes! The are like pink firecrackers.

Bold gold bling:
I doubled up on the necklaces (as one does).

  • Chain necklace - consignment (from a $10 grab bag)
  • Necklace - Givenchy, vintage 80s, vintage fair
  • Earrings - thrifted

Tomorrow is a special day - May the 4th (hint). I'll be wearing a little something...

  1. Love that shade of pink. Envious of that striped jacket too (even if the buttons are upside down!). Maybe this autumn/winter is the year I finally find the perfect striped blazer.

    1. I've never wanted a striped blazer before! This one is almost a sweatshirt material - it's really comfy.

  2. Great dress and swirl-factor! I love the look and the TDF shoes. And upside-down buttons mean something . . . but what??? Good luck, I think. xox

    1. They mean that the poor seamstress who sewed them on didn't know what an anchor is supposed to look like!

  6. Gorgeous look! I love the idea of layering a nautical influenced blazer over a cerise hued dress. You come up with such original, incredible outfits, dear Shelia.

    Many hugs,

  7. Fab pink frock Sheila, and pairing with striped jacket was a touch of genius. I would have opted for another block colour, maybe gold? Anyway, it looks very swishy and must feel lovely.
