Mustard Mellow Monday

Oh, creaky ol' me on a creaky ol' Monday. I'm a hurtin' unit, my friends.
Who'd've thought that sprinting, leaping and general merriment while throwing a disc would cause me to be in such pain? Silly me! I need a hot bath and ibuprofen!

  • Sweater - Steilmann, consignment; last seen here in November 2015 with snakeskin for Thai food
  • Skirt - Danier Leather, thrifted; last worn here in December 2015 with bigass plaid
  • Shoes - Modern Vintage, thrifted; last seen here (3rd outfit) in September 2015

One thing I will say with these loosey-goosey capsules is that they help me weed out the things I don't like or that don't fit. This sweater? Done with it. It's too baggy and droopy.
My little beaded pointy-toe flats? Too tight - they're being replaced by these trusty comfy flats. And sadly, although it's not out of the closet yet, I am going to have to look for another black leather skirt. This one is now too big on me, dammit! Just when I thought I'd found the perfect skirt!

The stuff:
These shoes are only good with bare legs, but I love how nice and neutral they are in an outfit.

I had to wear my new matchy set, now that I have the bracelet. Same brand as the ring!
And I paid a total of $15.00 for both pieces.

Neutral metal bling:
The scarf got in the way all day.

  • Scarf - Oscar de la Renta, thrifted
  • Ring/bracelet - POLY; ring, vintage fair; bracelet, thrifted
  • Earrings - Aldo Accessories
  • Ring - thrifted

I now have to go lay on the couch and not move.

  1. Don't you love the weeding-out process? Makes room for the extra-fabulous stuff. You still look great, and you can wear this mustard color well. xox

  3. A shame about the sweater - it's lovely! I've developed quite a yellow passion in my old age...It's a great outfit on you.

Hope the pain subsides soon. Get Vizzini to lie on the most painful bits - cat heat is good for aches and pains!

    1. It's also pilling, which I hate. This is about my 4th mustard sweater in 8 years, so no fear, I will find another one! It's such a useful colour.

Ha, like Vizzini would do ANYTHING I want him to!

  4. But it's a good pain, right? Heh. Ulty? Yeah! I like seeing your process of elimination. I did some weeding and only ended up with one thing I'm going to donate. Pathetic. You are very discriminating. I must be stronger.

  5. You're fading away to nothing my dear, and will soon have to replace all of your wardrobe because it's too big!!! Shall I start drawing up my list now of my wants? The mustard looks so good against your hair colour, so you maybe need to get a similar replacement. And boo hoo, that leather skirt was such a classic. Well done with the clear-out x
