Burgundy, Hot Pink and Red Leather

I do enjoy having restrictions on my clothing supply to help drive my creativity. I can see these red leather trousers getting a lot of wear over the next 4+ weeks.
This jacket, not so much. It's harder to make new outfits with it. Heaven forbid I repeat an outfit!

  • Jacket - Tian Art, thrifted; last seen here in September 2015 with a red fish skirt
  • Pants - Gap, thrifted; last worn here in November 2015 with a fringey topper
  • Shoes - Marc; last seen here (3rd outfit) in January with a happy jacket

Although I'm not giving this awesome jacket away, it's had its one wear per season, so I'm going to swap another jacket in for it in the capsule. My capsule, my rules!

"What are you blathering on about? Bored now!"
Let's have a little ol' trip down memory lane and make sure I'm getting my money's worth out of it before we properly say adieu (for now).

Prior to the above link from September above, I also wore it:

  • Here in January 2015 with loads of pink and blue (it has hot pink satin lining).
  • In January 2014 with these same leather pants, here.
  • Belted here in October 2013 with greys and Best Shoes Ever.
  • With a hot pink skull skirt in September 2013 here, which is when I purchased it for $8.00.

So I'm down to $1.33 per wear. I don't feel so bad about wearing it once every 6 months.
The pant legs are turned up once to make them a deliberate crop.
On the other hand, I adore these red leather pants and can think of lots of ways to wear them. They are from the same season as my cognac leather pants by Gap, but the cut is very different, even though they are the same size. These are much shorter, both in the leg length and in the rise, and they are looser all over. I think these must be petites or something. I've seen olive green Gap leather from this season as well, but never in my size. I actually had someone email me once asking to contact him/her if I ever want to sell them.

The stuff:
Bigass red shoes - very comfy!

Bonus bling:
Bonus ring, which I forgot to put in the first picture.

  • Earrings - Tania Gleave
  • Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes

I'm going to go read - we have Book Club next week and I haven't even started the book. Zoiks!

  1. Your jacket is great paired with the leather pants! I think you do a great job at making the most of your wardrobe and making everything useful, so having a few pieces you only wear a couple of times a year works for you as you're always aware when you're doing so. I really don't have the same kind of visibility of how useful (or not) things are in my wardrobe, it's something I'm always working on. And I'm finding blogging helps as I can really see who much I do wear things.

  2. Taking it to 1.33 per wear is my kind of deal ! So its perfectly ok if you don't wear it that often and its such a unique garment.

  5. Never give that jacket away. Even though you only wear it once a season, it is so awesome. I love it best on these trousers.
