I'm Bringing Mom Jeans Back!

This is it! Friday, the tree and decorations are up at work (my poor ragged, scratched-up hands), and lo and behold...
Mom jeans! That's a whole lot of hip action there.

  • Jacket - Le Chateau, consignment; last worn here (2nd outfit) in March with aqua fringe
  • Shirt - LL Bean, consignment; last seen here in October with plaid
  • Jeans - Versace, vintage early 90s, thrifted; purchased here for $25.00
  • Shoes - Half Truth Veda, Fluevog; last seen here for Hallowe'en

I decided to keep the top half of the outfit fairly tame, with a white shirt and a black blazer. Yes, it's black velvet with embroidery, but this is tame in my wardrobe!
What's it like wearing super-high-waisted jeans (again, I admit it - I wore 'em the first time 'round)? Things are suspiciously erm...binding in the crotchal region.I seem to recall this was an era of camel-toe (if I may be so crude).
I did have to make sure my underwear would forestall any of that - thank you, granny panties.
But look at my butt! Doesn't it look awesome? I had my jacket off for at least half the day while I did the Christmas tree at work.

The stuff:
Comfy shoes, but I was on my feet all day, so my dogs are howlin' now.

  • Necklace - Nygard, consignment
  • Earrings - local

I have some fun things going on this weekend, so see y'all Sunday!

  1. You look great. I love high-waisted pants. They remind me of the Fifties and Sixties when they were popular. I believe high-waisted pants are flattering in how they emphasize a woman's natural curves and hip-structure.

  2. Wow, check you out baby! And yes, that's some butt you've got there. These jeans were such a bargain and worth waiting for too. I love how you've styled them up and think the shirt/jacket combo is very classy. Camel toe not in the least bit visible, hoorah for big pants too as you've not VPL. Gosh, we must be best pals by now that I'm discussing undies with you x

  3. Look at that fabulous butt! I gotta get me some of these jeans, although I do remember the scourge of camel toe. Let's hear it for Big Panties,

  4. I'm glad mom jeans are back in style I lked and wore them the first time, and am liking and wearing them the second time. They are much more flattering on my figure than the low-waisted kind, they all just emphasized my widest part, I'm a hippy girl!

And as awkward as it is to say, your butt looks GREAT in those pants!

  5. I have to admit that these trousers look fabulous ! I had my doubts when you purchased them.
    I don't see the camel ...

  6. That's the thing about high-waisted jeans, they do make your butt look great, as opposed to the horrible low-rise ones that give you the muffin-top. That is such a pretty jacket - you and I both are inclined to incorporate what other people would call "dressy jackets" into casual outfits.

Now I have to stop browsing through your posts otherwise I will never get dressed today (it is now 10.30 a.m.).
