Casual Friday: Rad Green and Trout Shoes

Woo! Friday! Today was a quiet day, but I'm still glad to be home and chillin' with my fam.
An assortment of greens and purples today.

  • Top - B. Altman & Co, by Hal Ferman, vintage 70s, thrifted; last seen here in a jumble of decades in January
  • Skirt - Nicole Miller, consignment; last worn here (2nd outfit) for another casual Friday back in November
  • Shoes - Miista; last seen here in September with orange

This is maybe the first time I've ever worn this skirt with a shirt tucked into it to show off the very high waist.

I love this vintage top - I only paid $5.00 for it about a year ago, so even though I don't wear it much, it's still good cost-per-wear.
And who doesn't love a groovy dark green?

The stuff:
Trout shoes! My coworker Frank named these - apparently "Trout" is an iridescent purple and green colour used on cars.

  • Belt - Plum
  • Earrings - local

I have a fairly quiet weekend planned, but I'll be back on Sunday with a full report, ready to join "Visible Monday"! See you then!

  1. I didn't know that about the car paint colour. I thought it was about fish, the iridescent scales. Not sure which image I like better. Ha! Probably the paint. I don't like to think of you walking with fish feet. Have a great weekend.

  2. I've never heard of a color called "trout"! Your blog is so educational. That's a terrific green blouse, great color on you. xox

  3. Great fit on the skirt, and that's such a cool top! With the shoes and socks, the whole outfit has a 1950s vibe. xxx

  4. Trout shoes. They are rather trouty in the best possible way. You look quite sleek in that skirt. Fab outfit.

  5. That shirt is a great colour and I love that you put flats on with this skirt. But these aren't just any old flats are they? Trout or not I adore them x

  6. Hey, girl!

I LOVE the skirt outfits you did with the socks (I assume they're fold down bobby socks) and would like to know if you accept outfit requests involving turtlenecks, pencil/plaid (knee-length) skirts, blazers, bobby socks, glasses and either low-cut sneakers or saddle shoes?!
