Copper and Bright Flowers, and a Psycho-Kitty

Wow, only 1 more day till the weekend! Woot!
This calls for some bright flowers, especially since it's cold and raining heavily. Ugh. Rain. I missed it for about a day - now I'm done with it.

  • Jacket - Le Chateau, consignment; last seen here back in June as outerwear
  • Blouse - Michael Kors, consignment; last worn here in July with my picador skirt
  • Skirt - Maeve for Anthropologie, thrifted; purchased here last weekend for $16.95
  • Shoes - Big Presence Desmond, Fluevog; last seen here in August with orange and aqua

I didn't do the research I usually do on new purchases with this skirt - or I would have discovered right away that Maeve is an Anthropologie brand. I actually found it (here, linkin' cause I love) marked down on clearance at Anthro for $29.95, regular $188 - I did get a deal! Apparently it is called the "Pome Blossom Skirt". Huh, my skirt has a name.

Anyway, I loved flouncing about in it, crinoline and all. I had loads of compliments on it.
I've had the jacket for ages, along with the orange blouse.

The stuff:
Must wear all the copper! Shoes too!

Copper bling:
Vizzini ate some of the ties on this leather obi - what a naughty boy! Eh, they were too long anyway. I do have to be extra-vigilant about him getting in my closet, even though he is 4.5 years old. I thought he would have settled down by now!

  • Cuff - vintage fair
  • Pin - thrifted
  • Earrings - Renoir, vintage fair

All of these copper pieces are from the 60s.

Speaking of the Viz-meister, I found some extra photos on the camera when I uploaded my outfit shots.
"I love the man, but I want to bite him!"
L and Vizzini have a love-hate relationship. They love each other, really. But Vizzini gets all wrought up and gets bitey. L hates that. Vizzini rarely bites me.

Vizzini is sitting on L's lap here, while L is blogging.
"Go ahead, I dare you to rub my tum!"
It's dangerous to try to calm him.
"Rrrrrr...I want to love...and bite!"
Better just throw a blanket over him till he settles down. Dude, chill!

  1. I'd bind my feet if it would reduce my shoe-size down to something where I could borrow your playful heels.

  2. Yeah, cats get that face that says - I could rend you to pieces, then eat you. So don't push it. But there's love there too, I can tell : >

Gorgeous jacket and skirt, and copper stuff. Happy Friday! xo

  3. My very first cat I had when I got my own apartment was very Dr. Jeckyll/Mr. Hyde and could get very bitey/scratchy for no particular reason. I eventually had to find another home for him because it got so I was afraid of him!

That skirt is sooooo effin' adorable! I'm wearing your former denim bustier to work today.

  4. OMG I love these shoes - I've just been drooling over Mel wearing her Fluevog fringed boots. This is a new brand for me across the pond in the UK, but I'll starting searching for some over here. I think I may covet your jewellery collection to.

  5. Vizzini is a cousin of our Kiwi! Only he has a more stylish owner. Love those Frozen shoes that you discovered by the coast. Perhaps, you shall inspire me to wear skirts again! I've hunkered down in trousers just because it's November.

    Cheers,
