Birthday Week Twofer: Grey-ny and Rainy, and Dinner Dress

What a change from yesterday! It's rainy and gloomy today. I dressed appropriately.
All favourite things!

  • Leather shirt - Danier Leather, thrifted; last seen here in November 2014
  • Skirt - Dolce & Gabbana, thrifted; last worn here in February for a brunch and shopping trip
  • Boots - Marc; last worn here in March with turquoise and a lacy top

I will not lie - I was roasting in this for most of the day! Despite the rain, it was actually really warm out; far too warm to have worn a raincoat on top of this.

I love this leather shirt, but didn't get much wear out of it last year. I am much happier with the fit of it since I lost a few pounds.
I might have invited my coworkers to gawk at this magnificent skirt. I still giggle with glee that I found Dolce & Gabbana (trimmed with Persian lamb, no less) for $6.00 in a thrift store!

The stuff:
I freakin' love these boots. I walked to and from the other office in them today. Fab.

Shiny silver bling:
I love clean lines in my jewelry.

  • Necklace - thrifted
  • Death Star ring - Soul Flower
  • Shield ring - Nine West

I'm actually writing this post in this outfit.
L and I are going out for dinner in a little over an hour. I'm blogging then doing some WW training while I wait for the cleaning lady to do her thing.

  • Dress - Elie Tahari, consignment; first worn here in August with pops of aqua
  • Shoes - Diesel, consignment; last seen here (2nd version of the same outfit) in June for an Urbanite in purple leopard
  • Accessories - as above (rings)

This is what happens when you set the timer and the camera is in close-up mode.
Um, yup.

It's actually lighter out now than it was this morning!
"Is that lady coming over again?"
I totally love this dress. This gets me down to $7.25 per wear. Bargain!
"Is that her at the door? I better skedaddle!"
Having someone clean my house has been a lifelong dream. I feel like I've made the big-time, baby! Vizzini doesn't like her (she vacuums). He hides under the covers on the bed. What a chicken-cat!
