Shoe Shine #27

Shoe Shine is on!
Get your kicks by showing your kicks!
This time around, I'm sharing a pair of shoes that make my feet happy - flats!
I love the shiny gold/silver mix of these Born ballet flats. Born shoes tend to have lots of padding (a good thing), and although they can be a little "granola" for my taste, I have 3 pairs of Born shoes that I've collected in my shopping expeditions, and have paid a fraction of what they cost new.

As I get older and my body gets creakier, I'm gravitating more and more towards flat(ter) shoes.
I could live in these for a long time.

What are your go-to shoes? Are they flat? Metallic?

  1. I need me some of these! Since hip and knee replacement surgeries in 2014, I've de-owned all - that's ALL - my heeled shoes leaving me bare-boned in the shoe dept.

Slowly, I'm building up my shoe wardrobe. It ain't easy finding good-looking flats at affordable prices!

  2. Metallic ballet flats are just the right mix of practical and jazzy. These are great. xo

  3. Born! A brand I still love, but have such a hard time getting a good fit. They oft run very small imo.

My go-to shoes are slip on ked's. I actually bought them in both black/white and navy/white.
