Great Swacks of Colour

Firstly, thank you all for your very kind comments and emails from my last post! It was most unexpected, but very welcome.
Suzanne Carillo mused, "I'm wondering with your hair change if you are finding that half of your wardrobe no longer works". Since I don't factor my hair colour into my outfits, nope, Suzanne, not at all. I've been wearing purple glasses for a few years and just go with them...and I'm doing the same with my hair.

  • Blouse - Planet, thrifted; last seen here in September 2014 with splatter
  • Skirt - Savvie; last worn here in August 2014 when I was mowed down in magenta
  • Shoes - Miz Mooz, consignment; last seen here (2nd outfit) in April red and white

So who cares if my hair isn't matching the rest of my outfit? Red and purple go together; aqua and purple go together; and obviously red and aqua go together. Why can't they all be friends?

Also, why is swack getting spell-checked? Everyone knows that's a word!
I actually loved all the bright colours together - I did keep forgetting that my hair was purple (it's not like I can see it, except when it falls in my eyes).

The stuff:
Comfy platforms! With roses!

Squared-off bling:
I'm a little "meh" on this necklace, but I like the shape of it.

  • Necklace - consignment store grab-bag
  • Cuff - vintage 60s, Mom's
  • Earrings - thrifted

I worked late tonight, so time for dinner!

  1. Okay, I hadn't thought of the hair matching issue, probably because I think purple would go with everything. I'm going to go back and read all the comments now.

  2. No, I never consider my hair colour when I dress either, I just throw it all on and hope for the best!
Great colours, gotta love some ruffles and roses! xxx

  3. I never thought of hair-color as something that needed to be matched; as you say, I don't think it does.

  4. I've always thought hair colour is neutral - so it does not have to match what you wear.
I like this skirt Sheila but I am with you on the necklace ..

  5. I have heard some people say that a change of hair colour has necessitated a change in wardrobe, but I've always thought it doesn't matter all that much. I'm not exactly adventurous with my hair colour choices myself though, it's always semi-permanent and just a shade or two darker/lighter each way haha.

Glad you enjoyed the responses to your previous post, I think it was the kind of post that resonated a little with everyone.

  6. Yes, I don't think hair color needs to match either. Although, dyeing my hair red makes me want to wear more green because they DO look smashing together. Because my hair is in my face a lot (ha) if I did it purple I'd no doubt begin wanting to wear more pink and purple. I think your hair goes brilliantly with YOU!
