Funky Friday: The Return of Danger Pants!

Holy shamoly, it's finally Friday. And do I need it?
Sit up straight, slouchy woman!
Oh, indeed I do.

I will point out that today is a minor victory for me in that Danger Pants did not attempt any murder This is a good thing.

  • Top - BCBG Max Azria, thrifted; purchased here for $12.99
  • Pants - Signature 8, consignment; last worn here in August 2009 on a murder-free day
  • Shoes - Fiel; last seen here in April with funky hair and checkerboards

This is my 4th wear of these pants and they've only tried to murder me once. I was hyper-vigilant today about using handrails on the buses and in the stairwells at work.

This is the first wearing of this peachy drapey top. I liked the shape and the uneven hemline.
I was all about the drape.

The stuff:
Second wearing of these flatform sandals. "I like your platforms!" a random street person yelled at me this morning. So do I! They were even better with bare feet.

Simple bling:
Leather and wood.

  • Cuff - thrifted
  • Earrings - Le Chateau

I have a fun weekend lined up, including tonight on my own (hello, wine, you look like a delicious beverage), Ulty tomorrow and Arkham Horror with Cat and Ross tomorrow night. Doesn't get any better than that.

Have a very chill weekend, my friends! I know I will!

  1. I love the combination of that top and those wide legged pants together! It's a lovely silhouette. The colours go really nicely too.

Pleased there were no incidents in the pants this time around - perhaps they are on their best behaviour so you don't think of donating them! :)

Have a great well earned weekend Sheila!

  2. You deserve a good slouch after your week. I thought, hey, those are slap happy pants, what's the murder about? Ooooh, yes. Handrails, absolutely. I completely understand. Great flatforms. I hope you have a perfect weekend of relaxation and invigoration.

  6. Ooohhhh I have much love for this outfit. My maxi skirts try to murder me too so I understand how dangerous those pants could be. They look so awesome and they know it! Just how is Victoria getting weather warm enough to wear that outfit and Comox isn't? Not fair!xoxoxo

  8. I misunderstood -- I thought the pants are a danger to OTHERS. Not to you. I can see how they'd murder observers with their extreme style and colors.

To me, dangerous clothes are tight pencil skirts. As much as I love them, I worry about how they limit one's mobility. The very notion of clothing limiting movement is unheard of in male experience. It's amazing what you learn when you cross the gender divide... :-)

  9. Totally second that, Shybiker, on the pencil skirts! I once had a bit of a mishap trying to get off a bus in one of those. I...hopped and managed not to face-plant. I think Victorian women must've had fabulous floor-length garment skills. :-)

    LOL Danger Pants. Cartoon character?
