I Get My Kicks in Poppies and Angora

How appropriate that I wore my red poppies rainy floral skirt today - it is raining!
However, we are due for more clear skies soon, thank goodness. Just in time for le weekend!

  • Sweater - The Limited, consignment; last seen here in December 2014 with a big red fail skirt
  • Skirt - Un1Deux2Trois3, thrifted; purchased here for $4.00
  • Shoes - Marc; featured here for Shoe Shine #15, and last worn here in November 2014

A comfy outfit. I liked this sweater better with the A-line skirt than with the full midi-skirt. I'm still a little iffy on the sweater itself, but for now it stays.

But wait!
BAM!

La la la...
"If I can't have any more food, I'm out of here."
The skirt was good to wear. I think I will get my $4.00's worth out of it.

Hold on.
KICK!

Okay, so what's all this kicking about? I got an email from reader Jessica asking if I "approved goofy kick poses requests." Typically, I immediately block those senders and ignore them and delete their emails, but after a quick search, I found her blog (here). Girl likes to kick!

And while I'm not sending pictures of me kicking (or anything else, looking at you, veiny feet picture requesting people!) to anyone, I am quite happy to post pictures of myself being goofy. There you go, Jessica. Link back to my blog if you like. Cheers!

The stuff:
Great galloping shoes of red fabulousness!

Red bling:
And some wooden bling in there too.

  • Cuff - Rimanchik
  • Wood ring - Dots
  • Square wood/lucite ring - consignment
  • Silver/coral ring - Oscar & Libby's
  • Earrings - local

Shoe Shine is on starting tomorrow! I'll be back on Sunday with a wrap-up of my fun-filled weekend ahead.

  1. Aha! I knew I wasn't the only one getting emails from Jessica! I was weirded out (no information about her blog, or any introduction), but glad it's all "above board" if you will!

  2. haha, yes what fun photos! :)

It's sad I'm usually in such a rush nowadays I don't get the goofy out-takes that used to result when I had hubby taking my blog photos (way back in the early days of my blog!). I was too shy to post them then anyway, those were the days of the headless photos, hehe! :)

I haven't had any weird requests for photos, although I did get an email from a guy who used two different names and asked me to help him pick a gift for his girlfriend. I shot a quick response and he actually responded back, we ended up chatting quite a bit, although I still don't know what his name was. Paul or James, he used both!

  6. I have not had any requests for "Kick" photos, or any other kind. Hmmmmmmmm....

Love those beautiful shoes, and the poppy-print skirt. The top is ok, but I have a personal vendetta against golf type shirts with collars and refused to get one when we got some made up for our office.

  8. I often receive emails breathlessly announcing that (insert famous starlet name here) is wearing a blue dress by (insert famous designer name here)!!! ??? Your kicks are great. I'd be kicking in those shoes too. They look good enough to eat. Keep Vizzini away from them.

  9. Oh wow, I do think you will get your money's worth out of that skirt…probably down to pennies.
The poppies are very Kenzo and look marvellous with the sweater.
