Almost Primary

Out late tonight having dinner and drinks with the women I work with - there aren't many of us (I work for an IT company), so it's nice for "the girls" to get together once in a while. For those of you who wondered yesterday, the HR lady totally gets my style (and nearly everyone I work with knows about my blog).
Practically a primary colour (red/blue/yellow) mix today. I built the outfit around this groovy scarf that I've had for several years.

The sweater is a neat shade of not-quite-brick-red and not-quite-rust, last worn here (2nd outfit) earlier this month as my Winesday outfit with my long sweater skirt.
I really liked how the colour popped off this wonderful cobalt blue skirt - my much-treasured Andre Courreges vintage haute couture thrifted treasure, last seen here during Monochomania! week in September. Wool and cashmere and yes, only $5.00. I am nearly down to $1.00 per wear. That just gives me the happy dance jitterbug feeling, ya know?
And it makes my butt look good too!
I added a rust 70s vintage belt to help neutralize all that colour, and to bring in the groovy colours in the scarf. The lacy tights are just so fun!

The stuff:
The only thing I'm not wearing today that's non-ethically-sourced is these shoes. They're by Poetic Licence - sadly made in China - but purchased from a local boutique with gift money from my mother-in-law, who doesn't have such ethical dilemmas as I do. But they are mustard yellow! and tweed! and have ribbons! I first wore them here (4th outfit) in October with a steampunk-y outfit for dinner out with Mom and L.

Blue bling:
Thrifted scarf, thrifted belt, locally-made earrings and my Wendy Brandes rings. I am totally going to check out her December cyber-sale*! Her jewelry is amazing.
*linking 'cause I love Wendy, and her jewelry

And now, off to drink some wine and watch TV. Because I can.

Sweater (Bandolino, thrifted), cami (InWear), skirt (Andre Courreges, vintage 80s, thrifted), shoes (Poetic Licence), belt (vintage 70s, thrifted), scarf (thrifted), earrings (locally-made), lapis lazuli ring/Fulvia Ring (Wendy Brandes).

My heart be still. I have an obsession with yellow shoes for some reason and yours are amazing. I also love those lace tights. Where did you get them? I wonder if they have some like that in the States?

    1. I'm sorry, Janeane, I've had the tights for nearly 4 years and I honestly don't remember what brand they were or where I got them. They might have been Winners (kind of like US TJ Maxx) or from the Bay (department store). I know they would have been on clearance, though.
