Turquoise and Magenta - Last Gasp of Summer

It was a lovely day today: sunny and clear, with just hint of autumn's crispness. Perfect for breaking out one of my summer skirts.
I was going to do a more neutral top, and then I thought, "Why not magenta?" Indeed! Why not? I got lots of compliments on the combo today, so I must be doing something right.

The skirt was last worn here in June with zigzags, and before that here in March with ruffles (and this same belt, how original of me!). Three wears in a season is fine by me. I do notice that I tend to pop the skirt off black a lot, though.
I'm wearing a black top (last seen here, with plaid in August) under the cardigan.
The cardigan is such a glorious colour. I last wore it several times in one weekend on our funeral trip to Powell River back here in June.

I will miss this skirt over the fall/winter season, but I know I have a turquoise suede skirt (with fringe!) that is coming out of storage (I'm so excited!).

The stuff:
All matchy-matchy, of course. The shoes are being slowly worn to death - I thrifted them for $4.00 back in April 2011, and I don't know what I'm going to do when they wear out! Maybe buy these, heh heh. I last wore them here in August with my lacy peplum top.

Blue bling!
And a belt with fire-breathing skulls. Because that's how I roll.

Cardigan (Jacob, thrifted), black top (Mossimo, consignment), skirt (Cabri, thrifted), shoes (Enzo Angiolini, thrifted), belt (consignment), felt flower/earrings (local), lapis lazuli ring/Fulvia Ring (Wendy Brandes).

Those fluevog shoes would be a great replacement when you can't wear those other shoes any more! :)

  12. Love this color combo -- not one I would have imagined and that's why your blog is so amazing. A cycling sight introduced me to Fluevogs earlier this year; I don't own a pair but have been drooling for months. Since discovering your blog, the Fluevog urge has intensified.
