Like Mr. T, Only Plaid

Ugh, the first day back after a long weekend full of stress. Gotta fake it, and what better way than a giant plaid skirt?
This is, of course, my fabulous vintage 80s taffeta plaid skirt (complete with built-in crinoline!), that I bought back here for $44.00. $44.00 is pretty high for consignment (in my opinion), but it's a really cool skirt. I rustled about the office today.
The mustard cardigan was last worn here in May with plum and rust - it's such a versatile colour.
I see a lurker in the background.
I have a purple cami on under it.

The stuff:
The shoes are my perfect black pumps. I last wore them here for Valentine's Day, with a red dress.

I've had this bigass chain necklace for a few years - I picked it up at Club Monaco in August 2010 on super-duper markdown. It was $89 regular price, and I got it for $9. Crazy.
I felt like Mr. T in my big chains. They rattled, the skirt rustled - I was a Presence today at work. Make way!

Cardigan (Club Monaco, consignment), cami (InWear), skirt (Roland Kerry, vintage 80s, consignment), shoes (Guess), chain necklace (Club Monaco), heart pin (Smoking Lily), earrings (The Cobbler).

  2. i am not sure which i love more your new plaid dress you wore on the 10th or this skirt. they are both so fabulous! i am glad you got both of them. they are both such beautiful, bold pieces for summer! and since i personally think the '80s rocked the first time around, a little crinoline is a real bonus! I hope you had a great day filled with twirls and rustling.

  3. Eee! Big skirt, big chain! Big fun!

I've been paying more attention to your consignment prices. I've been trying to get a better feel for pricing, since my boss has been leaving inventory to me a lot more lately. I live in a very (cheap) area, so it's funny to hear half the people go "omg what a steal" or "what kind of discount can you give me" for the same item.
