Pink Velvet for Valentine's

Why is the Tuesday after a long weekend so much like a Monday? Arg. Let's try to buck up and think happy lovey thoughts for the impending V-Day, shall we? I'll be doing a pink-red romantic clothing theme all week to celebrate the love.

Starting with - a new-to-me jacket!
This is my Nougat London jacket that I picked up on consignment back here in January (breaking my shopping ban to salve my stress over Vizzini eating my Fluevogs!) for $28.00. I replaced the grotty-looking buttons with these mismatched silver ones.

The curvy skirt was featured in the December 2012 capsule (recap here) and was a gift from the lovely Megan Mae. I wore it 3 times in December outfits.
I'm wearing the new-to-me Liz Claiborne camisole that I picked up last weekend in the thrift store (it's not up for voting, being a foundation/layering piece). It stayed in place and didn't show too much cleavage, which are my two make or break requirements in a cami.

The shoes are my fabulous Fluevog Sencha Teapots, featured in the March 2012 capsule (recap here) and worn 3 times that month. I can't believe it's been over a year since I've worn them - slipping them on was like saying hello to an old friend.
I wore a pair of my new tights today - one person thought I'd gotten tattoos up the backs of my legs.

Jacket (Nougat London, consignment), cami (Liz Claiborne, thrifted), skirt (Etcetera, gift from Megan Mae), shoes (Sencha Teapots, Fluevog).

  1. Exquisite jacket. The ruching emphasizes your tiny waist, and I love the new buttons. Megan Mae also has great taste - that skirt is perfect on you.

I loved the package you sent. The earrings are perfect for my growing hair, and the flower belt is amazing. I can't wait to add it to a dress soon. You are the best!

  2. I like the color of the shoes with the jacket and the tiny detail with the tights really sets off the scalloped part of the shoes.

  11. You did a great job changing the buttons, the jacket is really pretty and fits well. And the skirt is a very sexy shape! AND the tights have a bit of va-va-boom going on, so it's all working for Valentine's Day! xxxxx

  12. Definitely good call on the buttons which are now awesome, and I like the curved collar, hem, and gathered shoulders. Though the naturally-lit pic shows the rosy colour the interior ones read just a little too "flesh" to me. My pink-prejudice won out on this one! I'll probably cancel it out next vote, lol.
