Aug 22nd - Outfit #23 - Much Craziness

Is it really only Wednesday? Feels like it should at least be Thursday.

I've wanted to do this combination since I started planning August's capsule.
Yee haw! Polka dots and floral, giddy-up! I am in love with all this pattern.

The blouse (last seen here) has a bit of purple-y blue in it as well as a nice pale pink, so the colours worked with these awesome pants (last worn here, 2nd outfit).

I knew I wanted to go a little overboard on the accessories with this, so of course only the gold platforms would do. I last wore them here. I'm really impressed with how versatile these have been this month.
Some mornings you just don't want to look at the camera.
I get a lot of comments on the pants, every time I wear them. L refers to them as my "clown pants," and I also get "pajama pants" and "interesting pants" (the people attempting to be nice, ha!).

I've been remiss in posting the stuff lately.
I am kneeling in front of the camera.
I like how the necklaces play off the vintage-y vibe of the blouse.

Stuff!
Mixed metals, including my Wendy B ring.

Blouse (Esprit, consignment), pants (Noa Noa), shoes (Coach), necklaces (Plum, and 2028), earrings (Aldo Accessories), wrist-wrap (Club Monaco), ring (Wendy Brandes).

  1. Oh yeah, I love these "interesting, pajama, non-clown" pants! You look really cool and confident and funky when you wear them, and this combo with the floral blouse is extra-good.

  3. I think this sort of look is very "editorial" - like a pairing you'd see in Vogue or something. Love it! Your pants are very divisive, but I'm in the love-them camp.

  4. Man, those are PANTS. :)

I too like how your jewelry works with your blouse, well done!

  5. Thanks for the "kneeling" shot! The things we do to reveal our jewels. ;) I did some shots on the floor today too and really hurt my knees getting up. Sheesh

I love this combination of the two patterns so much. They compliment each other in a sort of vintage way. Feminine and almost like you're ready for a polo match but in a cool way of course. I can see why you were looking forward to putting this together. You look great!

  9. I agree with Megan, it does look very Vogue! And if I remember correctly, Stacey & Clinton say that metallic shoes are a neutral and can be worn with anything.
    Love it!

  10. I like seeing all your jewels up close! Lovely! I do love these pants on you - I don't know that they'd work on someone like me, but you sure have the legs to pull it off! Looks great!

  11. Love the pattern play in this outfit!! They are not clown pants--they are AWESOME pants!!
Those gold platforms certainly are drool-worthy!

  12. Oh, I love these pants. I'm a huge polka-dot fan, anyway, but you just don't see many dotted pants around. These are really quite versatile and would go with a lot of different tops. And they fit you very well, which is key.

  13. Not a pattern combination that many would consider or go through with but you prove that it works wonderfully. I'm going to have to troll ebay for those Noa Noa trousers.

  14. There is something very European about this outfit that I like. Flirty but office appropriate throw on a Trench coat and it could be mysterious... Lovely
