Jul 3rd - Outfit #3 - I Brought Sunshine

Today started out as a very cold, windy and grey day - so brought my own sunshine!
I got this dress last May while shopping at Winners with my brother's girlfriend, Angela (hi, Ange!). It's Calvin Klein, and it was $69.99, but I fell in love with it.

I've worn here here (May 2011), here (August 2011) and here in December 2011. I'm working to get my cost per wear down!\

Today, I went with the multi-coloured belt I bought on Friday (picture here), along with the stained glass shoes (also bought on Friday, picture here), and two of Megan's buttonflowers (picture of all of them here). I didn't wear the yellow flower because it's the same colour as the dress.
The shoes were pretty good - they're a little stiff, so I need to break them in a bit.

Needed my white leather jacket this morning, but by the time I walked home it was sunny (albeit still quite windy out). Yay! I made it sunny through sheer force of will!
Purple bag - why not?

The stuff:
A bit of weird light going on, not to mention my fuzzy photo skills due to being in a hurry for my WW meeting tonight. The beaded bracelet and the earrings I've had since just before I started the blog.
Bees! I love buttonflowers!

Dress (Calvin Klein), shoes (vintage 80s, Gabrielli, thrifted), belt (vintage 80s, Elite, thrifted), buttonflowers (gift from Megan), bracelet (Plum), earrings (Le Chateau), ring (Wendy Brandes), coat (Le Chateau, consignment), bag (consignment).

  2. Count my jaw as dropped! That yellow dress is downright gorgeous with the stained glass accessories. Not sure if I said it before, but the shoes really do have a Fluevogian look.

I love that you added the new buttonflowers to this look! (Please say I can feature it for sew sunday!)

Yes, please go ahead and use this look for your buttonflowers. :)

  8. Love this outfit you look great in it. I don't comment every day but I read your blog first thing every morning it is my favorite. I just started reading a couple of months ago and so enjoyed going back and catching up on the last few years. My husband and I have all of the Star Trek Christmas ornaments like you do and we are going to a huge Star Trek convention in Las Vegas in August. (I know, we are such nerds) Also congrats on the weight loss and maintaining it.
