Feb 10th - Outfit #9 - Casual Friday - Stripes and Sparkle

Happy Friday! Wow, what a busy week - I am glad it's over.

Today's outfit features three more new items for this month's challenge:
Inigo planted himself in my photo spot. Vizzini disapproved.
The striped cardigan is new-to-me; I bought it for $16.00 at a consignment store a few weeks ago. It's not much cheaper than it would have been marked way down at Dots (which is where I suspect it was originally purchased, as Dots carries a ton of Kersh), but I liked the gold sparkle in the cream stripes.

I don't know how versatile it's going to be, but that's one of the reasons for doing this challenge: to weed out the things that I don't get much mileage out of.

The tank sweater is my cashmere one. It's almost a sweater vest style, and I'll probably wear it like that at least once this month.

The cropped jeans make another Casual Friday appearance.
And only the blurry tailed remained...
Instead of doing a flat, I'm wearing my Ralph Lauren pumps. They were just as comfy as I'd remembered. Very handy for directing furniture movers at work all day.

The stuff:
I kept the accessories simple with my silver chain and gold leaf. I also had my bigass gold hoops on.

The necklace:
You can see the sparkle in the cardigan better there.

That silver chain has been amazing for how many different things I can thread on it. This gold leaf was turned in by our janitors at work at my old building many months ago. I sent out an email to everyone at work, but no one claimed it. It was too pretty to toss, so I kept it.

Cardigan (Kersh, consignment), tank (Ellen Tracy, swap from Caro), jeans (Jackpot, swap from Caro), shoes (Lauren, Ralph Lauren).

  1. What a cute cardi! I know what you mean about having unworn things though. I've been trying to get rid of things that I repeatedly don't reach for.

I am giggling over the flash of tail in the second photo.

The necklace is really cool. I've faved a number of similar necklaces on etsy that went for quite a price (at least to me, I find jewelry expensive for the use I get out of it). I'd consider it a happy find.

  2. *sigh* You make it look so easy, Sheila. You put on some clothes and look like a Million bucks. Effortless, almost.

I'm feeling humble. I just botched up an outfit something awful and feel completely inadequate. Even thinking about dressing at your level seems impossible now.

Oh well... keep up the good work.

  8. Very nice stripes, girl! I love that you did a heel for a different look. Cats do know how to show disapproval, don't they? : >

  9. Ally, please don't feel inadequate - remember, I've had more practice at this! :) You look amazing and you are growing by leaps and bounds.

Leslie, the leaf has no stamp or brand. The silver cord came with one of my Shi Studios pendants - it's sterling.
