Red Friday With Stripes

Another Red Friday brings...orange!
The orange cardi is new - Plum got in a whole bunch of samples, marked them all down and this rich orange caught my eye (it was $20). This will look great with tons of my patterned skirts.

This skirt was last worn here (scroll down) - I quite like it with the orange.
I wore my plain ol' flat black boots because I had to do a lot of walking today. My mom is getting her cataracts operated on (first eye next week!), so we walked to the doctor's office today, then walked to the mall for lunch (yummy Thai, thanks, Mom!) and the walk-in clinic, then back to her place. A lovely afternoon!

The stuff:
Kept it simple with just a necklace and some of my charms.

Cardigan (Press), skirt (MNG, consignment), belt (Bianca Nygard), boots (Aldo, consignment).

I stopped at Dots on the way home - they had an extra 30% off on all the final markdowns! I have been on the lookout for some red pants for ages and found these tomato red ones...for $7!
My hang-out-at-home outfit for this evening. I have a really busy weekend, so I'm looking forward to hanging with L.

Sweater (Esprit), cami (Mexx), jeans (mystery, no labels), belt (Denver Hays, consignment).

  1. Fabulous skirt! I love it paired with the orange. I love the hemline of the skirt.

Red pants!! I think red pants are one of the best things ever. Love the leopard belt with it.

  2. what would be the American equivalent of Plum's? So many of the items on your blog that I covet seem to come from there.

  3. We rarely think of using orange and that's a shame: it's a lovely color and, as you demonstrate here, very attractive.

Thanks, Sheila, for the wonderful fashion advice you just left me. Many commentors say things, but your ideas are always the soundest. I learn so much from you! Canada should declare you a National Treasure. :)

  10. Megan, thank you! You inspired me with your own red pants.

Terri, I don't know if there is a US equivalent. Plum is privately owned, they have about half a dozen stores in my province.

Shy, thank you - I adore orange, such a vibrant colour. You're so welcome, I do always try to call 'em as I see 'em. Aw, that's really sweet, hon, thanks. :)

    Thanks, Rad!

'Doll, why am I glad you don't live near me? Half my wardrobe would end up at your house! ;)

Pam, thank you so much for dropping by - thank you for the feature!

Anne, thanks! I am looking forward to dressing them up.
