Feelin' a Little Benatar

Okay, so I was a child of the 80s (well, a teen of the 80s for most of that decade). So every so often I feel the need to get in touch with that funky dressing teen that I once was. Like today:
I found this dress for $9 at the Salvation Army - it's BCBG! Get out! Totally easy outfit to put together (hmmm...match the turtleneck to the the tights, the Stinky Boots, belt, hoop earring, aw yeah!).

The goods:
The dress is not as orangey-red; it's actually a very pinky brick red. It's that lovely faux suede material - and washable!

Gotta go...dinner's burning...

Dress (BCBG MaxAzria, thrift), turtleneck (Reitman's), tights (Hue), boots (some cheapass brand), belt (gift from Ruth), earrings (don't remember).

  1. Sluouchy boots? Check. Belt over dress? Check. 1980s chic? Check.

  3. Do you think my fascination with studded belts, or studded anything has to do with me being a child of the eighties as well? hmmm

Very cute outfit by the way!

  4. Hee hee, you're all so cute. Thanks very much for your kind words.

Alison, I don't know - I never had anything studded during the 80s. It was more of a 90s thing for me (easily my worst fashion era...I should dig out some pictures some day).

  5. 80s chic but still much more classic! And the belt jazzes up the sheath...it reminds me a lot of the one Carrie wore constantly in the SATC movie.

I don't really remember the eighties, but I do remember desperately wanting ripped jeans and being told no. Now I have a pair and my mom yells at me for wearing them....

  6. Rockin' outfit! You're a real tough cookie with a long history... Yeah I use to port the Pat Benatar hairdo back in the day :-)
